CROC offers solutions to build infrastructures of any complexity based on private and hybrid clouds, as well as the CROC Virtual Data Center—the company’s own public cloud that uses open software.
CROC offers the creation of private clouds based on either off-the-shelf hardware-and-software solutions (EMC Vblock, NetApp FlexPod), or through the integration of management software (OpenStack platform by Mirantis, HP, and Red Hat; as well as BMC, VMware, Microsoft, and Parallels products) with existing customer’s equipment.
Hybrid clouds are used to unite separate cloud infrastructures while retaining a single control center, ensure additional capacity, and improve data disaster-tolerance. CROC creates hybrid clouds based on customers’ virtualized structures and integrates any vendor’s products into its own cloud.
CROC offers a unique demo service to allow potential customers to try cloud computing without initial investment.
CROC guarantees reliable operation of business systems (including mission critical high-load databases) deployed in its high-performance Virtual Data Center (public cloud) that is powered by all-flash data storage, which is almost 20-times more effective than disk systems, a 56 Gbps low-latency Infiniband network, and powerful virtual servers. In addition, SDN technology improves CROC's cloud manageability, flexibility, and security. Guaranteed disk subsystem performance and the allocation of computing resources in the cloud allow for the avoidance of the risk of cross-impact between customers, which is extremely important, especially for business-critical information services.
Clouds provide ad-hoc availability of necessary equipment without the need for customers to buy it, make large one-time payments, or invest in capital expenditure. Therefore, customers frequently use clouds to optimize IT budgets, simplify client application development, and reduce costs related to training that requires extra computing capacity.
With private and hybrid clouds, customers can enjoy simplified control over IT costs of business units and infrastructure flexibility and scalability. In addition, they can also opt to use CROC's public cloud to achieve stable operation during peak load.
To improve data protection, CROC offers remote storage of backup copies and the creation of backup data centers. CROC's data centers are distributed geographically to ensure that the failure of a single data center will not result in a collapse, and customers will be able to quickly restore their IT services at a remote site. In the case of a hybrid model, equipment in customers' data centers is integrated into CROC's public cloud infrastructure, thus ensuring extra data protection.
CROC protects cloud infrastructures using both standard tools and specific cloud protection solutions, including systems that delimit access to cloud resources, protect against denial of service attacks, protect the cloud perimeter (firewalls, traffic encryption, intrusion detection and prevention), etc.
Companies seeking maximum data security can take advantage of CROC's cloud-based Security-as-a-Service, which uses tools certified by the Federal Service for Technical and Export Control (FSTEC) and the Federal Security Service (FSB) of Russia. This service can be used as a basis for the future deployment of personal data system security in line with a customer's model of potential threats.
Amendments to the Law "On Personal Data" stipulate that companies which process and store data on foreign servers should transfer such facilities to Russia by September 1, 2015. By using cloud infrastructures both separately and in a hybrid manner, such companies will be able to comply with this requirement faster by transferring a database snapshot to the cloud without changing business system architecture.
Investment in ICT infrastructure accounts for up to 80% of company’s IT costs. In order to make investment more efficient and reduce budget load, CROC jointly with leading hardware manufacturers offers IT project financing services such as an opportunity to pay in instalments; assistance in obtaining credits; and lease and rent agreements for both separate equipment items and entire IT infrastructure.
As a result, customer can use equipment right after the first payment and save its working capital, control its IT costs and budget more efficiently.
Red Hat is a leading developer of open source software, including virtualization, security, and cluster software as well as operating system software and application server software.
