Arkhangelskoe Museum Estate Provided with Wi-Fi Connectivity
For visitor convenience, CROC deployed a Wi-Fi network with reliable coverage throughout the Museum Estate’s park. Following completion of the first stage of the project, free Wi-Fi connection is now available at the main Imperial Alley and the museum’s new Bykov Grove park, with there being plans to expand coverage to all open areas of the estate.
Wi-Fi access points are installed on lamp posts throughout the estate, with telecom equipment and built-in antennas not affecting sophisticated lamp exteriors. Before installing Wi-Fi access points, CROC’s engineers connected FO and electricity cables to the lamp posts. All work was performed in line with the design prepared earlier by CROC and approved by the Chief Cultural Heritage Department of Moscow Region.
Wi-Fi users can sign up via a special portal by simply providing their mobile phone number, receiving a call a few seconds later, and entering the last four digits of the calling number in an activation code field.
“We are convinced that Wi-Fi connectivity will enable Arkhangelskoe Museum Estate to become an even more comfortable and modern cultural space, boost guest loyalty and attract new audiences. In the future, this Wi-Fi infrastructure can serve as a basis for new services that Arkhangelskoe may develop and offer to visitors, such as navigation, parking, ticket purchases, guided tour booking, audio guides, and partner projects, thus generating extra revenue from the deployed technologies,” said Mikhail Nikiforov, Head of Network and Communication Solutions, CROC.
