Online cleaning service Qlean has moved a major part of its IT infrastructure to CROC’s cloud, including its mobile app, website, test zones, and several business systems, thus abandoning multiple hosting providers that used to support the company’s business. By consolidating resources, Qlean has ensured better customer service, IT management, and regulatory compliance in terms of data storage location.
Qlean is one of the most popular online cleaning services in Russia, connecting thousands of cleaners and receiving 30,000+ orders per month. Today, the company provides services in large Russian cities (Moscow, Saint Petersburg, Ekaterinburg, and Novosibirsk), but is planning to expand its national presence.
The management of this rapidly growing company did not even think about building their own infrastructure because of the availability of outsourcing. «Qlean has been leveraging cloud services since its establishment. Indeed, it makes no sense for a startup to build its own data center, as it needs to invest in business development first. Moreover, our own infrastructure would be too expensive to support and too static compared to a cloud, thus preventing further market expansion,» said Evgeny Gapon, CEO, Qlean.
Over six months, CROC gradually moved Qlean’s services and systems from the clouds of other providers, including foreign ones, to its own cloud.
«Historically, we used a different hosting provider for each business process. However, as the company matured, we realized that all key business services need to be centralized on one platform to be effective,» added Dmitry Zotov, Technical Director, Qlean.
Before opting for CROC, Qlean conducted a thorough market research and then tested the provider’s cloud platform for a month at no charge to make sure that its technical parameters met the company’s business needs. Following the results of cloud testing and further operation, Qlean was convinced by its excellent performance, compliance with a strict SLA, and qualified infrastructure support.
«Providing services to a young, yet experienced and ambitious, company such as Qlean is often a challenge for us. Indeed, such technically-savvy businesses know exactly what they want. I believe it is these types of customers that help us grow professionally by challenging us to solve complicated issues,» noted Maxim Berezin, Cloud Service Development Director, CROC.
Qlean.ru is Russia’s leading, and the world’s third largest, apartment cleaning web platform, connecting customers with cleaning staff. Since its establishment in summer 2014, the company has grown rapidly, with the scale of its operations doubling several times per year. Today, thousands of cleaners are connected to Qlean, completing 1,000+ orders a day in Moscow, Saint Petersburg, and Ekaterinburg. To make our service truly user-friendly, helpful, time-saving, and high-quality, we not only provide training and equipment for cleaners, but also focus on developing our IT platform, mobile apps, analytics, and CRM system.
