CROC recently announced changes to its organizational structure. As from 2018, in response to market demands, the company has combined sales and project management processes into a single Sales and Project Management Department, with new directors also heading two technology departments.
The new Sales and Project Management Department brings together account directors and project management teams from all of the company’s four IT, Computer Systems, Telecom, and Intelligent Building Departments. Igor Nikulin, who was previously IT Department Director, has been appointed Deputy Director General for Business Development and will supervise the new department jointly with Maxim Strizhkov, who has occupied this role in recent years and also remains Commercial Director. A more uniform structure will give project managers more freedom to select technology solutions from any of the company's departments, instead of having to lobby for department-specific technologies like before. Consequently, both account directors and project managers now have more project cost management opportunities and can be more flexible regarding commercial proposals for customers, offering either on premise implementations or managed services.
Igor Malyshev has been appointed as the new Head of the IT Department. Igor joined CROC in 2002 and, until recently, was Deputy Director of the IT Department and also coordinated the System Solutions business unit, ensuring its successful performance over the years and covering infrastructure software solutions, information security, IT system management and monitoring, IT process automation, outsourcing, system software support, corporate portals, and mobile solution practices.
The penetration of information technology and Building Information Modeling (BIM) into the construction sector, including the design and creation of engineering systems of buildings, data centers, and industrial sites, led to changes in another of CROC's technology departments. Alexander Shirokov, Director of the Intelligent Building Department since 2006, has been appointed Deputy Director General for Capital Development, responsible for large infrastructure projects. His previous role has been taken over by Sergey Paukov, who has been with CROC since 2007 (first in IT Department and then Intelligent Building Department). Sergey has been successfully managing large-scale projects requiring the competencies of all CROC departments. In particular, he managed the creation of an integrated information system for the courts of general jurisdiction at the Moscow City Court, including building and commissioning of the customer's own data center - an unparalleled project worldwide for this sector.
"Today's rapid changes, spurred by digitalization, are influencing not only IT market structure, players, and approaches, but also verticals the IT market players deal with. Intending to ride this wave, CROC provides solutions and managed services to various organizations to add value to their own offerings and overall customer experience," commented Boris Bobrovnikov, Director General, CROC.
