CROC has promptly deployed virtual desktops for 300 employees of Condé Nast Russia*, a publishing house for lifestyle magazines such as GQ, Vogue, Tatler, Glamour, and AD, thus ensuring uninterrupted operation during the pandemic lockdown. As a result, the media holding was able to not only release all magazines on time, but also keep its financial unit running as usual, which is crucial during the quarterly reporting period.

As switching personnel to remote work increased the load on its information systems, Condé Nast Russia asked CROC to provide additional server capacity and software, and create Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI), with the entire deployment taking less than a week.

«Just like many other Russian businesses, we are struggling during this pandemic lockdown, especially when it comes to logistics. However, as a responsible employer, Condé Nast Russia cares about the health of its personnel and thus decided to completely switch to remote operation, despite business concerns. To allow for this shift, we needed to immediately scale existing infrastructure. With CROC’s timely and professional support, we managed to prepare all content for websites and applications and release five issues as scheduled».

IT and Information Security Director, Condé Nast Russia

«Virtual Desktop Infrastructure is one of the most effective anti-crisis solutions in our remote work portfolio, along with cloud services and Hardware as a Service (HaaS). VDI’s key benefits are fast implementation, cost effectiveness, and high information security. Our VDI solutions are powered by GPUs that can handle resource-intensive applications, images, videos, and graphics, which is extremely relevant for media and other businesses that deal with heavy content, such as design and architectural bureaus».
