CROC Cloud Services* employed products by Dell Technologies to upgrade and scale up CROC Cloud, its proprietary platform and one of the six largest clouds in Russia. The platform was built back in 2009 on Dell Technologies solutions and, importantly, is compatible with Amazon Web Services API.

According to IDC analysts, the Russian cloud market is growing two times faster than globally, becoming more and more attractive to both domestic and international customers that launch businesses and open new offices here. Demand for high performance is encouraging cloud providers to expand their computing capacity. Therefore, in 2019, CROC Cloud scaled up its hardware infrastructure by 70% to meet growing consumer needs. In addition, its disk subsystem was upgraded and a new storage tier for demanding applications was presented to customers. One of its features is the ability to dynamically manage VM performance without suspending it.

The company will further expand CROC Cloud during 2020. Like before, Dell Technologies infrastructure solutions will underpin the provider's platform upgrade.

The partnership helps expand data centers behind CROC Cloud. Today, the company owns three data centers in Russia (including Kompressor Data Center with Tier III Gold Certification of Operational Sustainability from Uptime Institute and Volochaevskaya-2 Data Center with Tier III Certification of Design Documents). In addition, the company also has two partner data centers in Turkey and Russia (Kalininsky Data Center). CROC Cloud is built on Dell EMC PowerEdge servers and the Dell EMC ScaleIO software-defined solution.

In CROC Cloud, customers can both host their services and business apps and deploy development and testing environments for new products and client services.

Dell Technologies platform's safety, scalability, and powerful performance are highly valued by CROC Cloud customers, including large web aggregators such as Tutu.ru, an extremely popular website visited by 40 million users each month. Tutu.ru leverages CROC Cloud not only for the hosting of its website, but also as a Test/Dev environment
