Automated Form Processing System

Project Objectives: Automation of entry of mobile subscriber receipt forms (information cards).

CROC developed and implemented an automatic form processing system in order to allow the automatic database entry of subscriber information cards.

Hardware and Software Upgrade for Automated Phone Traffic Monitoring System

Project Objectives:  Analysis of statistics and tariff information from Rostelecom international and long distance communication nodes.

In 2007, CROC implemented a system capable of processing over 18 million calls per day and deployed a data warehouse capable of storing all required information for a period in excess of one year.

TELE2 Russia

Call Center

Project Objectives: Upgrade of existing customer service tools. 

The project was implemented in 2008 on the base of two solutions: a call center with agents who receive calls from subscribers and a self-service voice portal for callers (IVR system). The call center currently serves 14 million of TELE2 Russia customers from 37 regions throughout Russia.

Corporate Network Comprising Multiple LANs and IP Telephony

Project Objectives: Provision of an effective, reliable, and secure information collaboration environment for inter-departmental communication.

In 2005, CROC implemented inter-regional corporate phone communications system with a unified dial plan. A billing system comprising data storage systems and a computer system was also designed and implemented. In addition, a data storage system, based on a high-end EMC disk array, was built and a tape library was included for SAN backup purposes.

VimpelCom

Multi-Service WAN

Project Objectives: Development and implementation of geographically distributed corporate multi-service WAN for VimpelCom (Beeline) mobile carrier and integration of over 400 branch offices across 78 Russian cities.

As a part of VimpelCom’s IT infrastructure stabilization project, in 2005, CROC developed and implemented a high-performance state-of-the-art WAN featuring built-in robust failure prevention, advanced data integrity procedures, advanced network management tools, and WAP service subsystems.

Mobile TeleSystemsDevelopment of a Comprehensive Disaster Recovery Plan

Project Objectives: Development of employee procedures and regulations to mitigate the impact of disaster.

CROC created individual DRPs for the MTS Head Office in Moscow and its major regional affiliates throughout Russia in the cities of St. Petersburg, Vladivostok, Samara, Nizhny Novgorod, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, and Ekaterinburg. The project involved the performance of a comprehensive systemized data analysis of MTS’ IT infrastructure.

Megafon, Volga Affiliate

Design and deployment of data center engineering (physical) systems

Project objectives: Business sustainability and diversification, provision of new services to customers.

Fully automated six-floor 6,912 square meter building was equipped with all necessary engineering systems such as: structured cabling system, cable-carrying system, automatic fire alarm system, automatic gas fire-extinguishing system, heating and lighting systems, power equipment and general-purpose power supply system, and precise air conditioning and ventilation system (for a total of 16 systems). CROC ensured 100 percent redundancy of all engineering systems and the data center received a preliminary estimate from the Uptime Institute stating that it complies with the TIER 3 standard of 99.982 percent availability.

  • Implementation of a 3G technology and fault-tolerant data center allowing OAO Megafon’s Volga Affiliate to provide innovative telecom services to Samara and Togliatti subscribers and gain additional competitive advantages.
  • Both the building and its physical infrastructure were designed in line with equipment specifications. In terms of technical specifications, the new data center of OAO Megafon’s Volga Affiliate is a unique facility both in Russia and CIS.
  • OAO Megafon’s Volga Affiliate is one of the few Russian companies that has a physical infrastructure that meets TIER 3 requirements.
