CustomerProject description
Integra Group

Unified IT Infrastructure

Project Objectives: Creation of a unified information environment for all branches of Integra Group throughout 10 different Russian regions.

In order to increase IT infrastructure management efficiency, in 2007, CROC developed telecommunication subsystem and information support subsystem which, in turn, comprised information security and data backup subsystems.

IP telephony and video conferencing systems were designed and implemented in order to enable effective and secure inter-branch communication. In addition, computing infrastructure, based on HP blade servers, was developed in order to provide reliable data storage and reduce costs.

Key Customer Benefits

  • Consolidation of computer resources
  • Simplified architecture and increased manageability of IT resources
  • Reliable data storage
  • Reduced costs
  • Data center can be upgraded without system shutdown
  • Easy-to-use employee telephone and video conferencing facilities
  • Remote access to corporate applications
  • Advanced teamwork collaboration tools
Integra Group
Corporate Reporting System

Project objectives: Efficient management and sustainable business growth

The best-in-class solution—Oracle Hyperion Essbase System 9—was selected as an optimum platform for the system.  Project implementation took six months. During the first stage, a multi-dimensional array, data entry forms, report forms, and dashboards were designed and created. The second stage of the implementation involved the system being tested and put into trial operation, with any detected errors being corrected.

Key Customer Benefits
  • Easy-to-use data analysis tools and dashboards
  • Detection of information inconsistencies
  • Development and coordination of performance metrics in compliance with universal standards
  • Employee accountability with regard to provided information
  • System is fully scalable
Paradigm

High-Performance Computing Cluster

Project objectives: Quicker and more effective processing and migration of seismic data.

CROC upgraded Paradigm’s installed computer base and implemented an HP-based cluster solution (with performance of over 4.7 Tflops). A large number of computer nodes not only ensures high performance but also minimizes the risk of computing capacity loss in the case of node failure.

Key Customer Benefits

  • Faster seismic data processing
  • Elimination of risk of system downtime via duplication of cluster control nodes
  • Support for future expansion

Building Automation

Project Objectives: Automation of building control systems, development and implementation of engineering and information systems, provision of required level of security.

In 2007, CROC deployed a set of automated engineering and information systems and a security system in the customer's new office building.

Key Customer Benefits

  • Preservation of the building and investment protection
  • Fire and intrusion protection
  • Comfortable environment for all employees
  • Optimization of office operations
TNK-BP ManagementPeripherals Access Control System

Project Objective: Protection of information transferred using removable drives and/or over the network

CROC implemented a system based on a Sanctuary Device Control product.

Key Customer Benefits

  • Protection against unauthorized access to confidential information
  • Anti-malware features to prevent entering of malware into the enterprise network
  • Prevention of unlicensed software installation
Integra ManagementUnified Communications System

Project Objectives:  Integration of communication centers and optimization of communications between employees.

CROC built a cluster comprising three Cisco Unified Communications Manager 5.1 servers that united 800 phones in a new Integra Management office. All offices now have a unified dial plan. In addition, CROC implemented key basic services and integrated Microsoft Active Directory with an existing information system.

Key Customer Benefits:
  • Extended collaboration features
  • Secure and reliable information system
  • Support of remote operations
  • Cost-efficiency
LukoilBusiness Process Management System

Project Objectives:  Increased efficiency and reduced complexity of annual R&D planning program.

CROC developed an intranet application based on the K2.Net 2003 BPM system from SourceCode Technology Inc. The R&D BPM system automates business processes within every business unit involved in the planning process and coordinates common activities within Corporate Center business units and departments. The system publishes approved documents on the corporate portal and is integrated with a corporate Master Data Management (MDM) system.

Key Customer Benefits:
  • Creation of executable process models
  • Business user involvement in the uninterrupted BP automation and improvement cycle
  • Real-time process monitoring, prediction, and timely response to emergencies
Eurasia Drilling CompanyFinancial Planning System

Project objectives: Improved planning quality

The new planning system is based on IBM Cognos 8. The first stage of the implementation involved the design and deployment of a 'bottom-to-top' planning subsystem in order to automate planning procedures from the company’s affiliates to the management company. The next stage involved the implementation of a 'top-to-bottom' planning subsystem; and finally, the deployment of a database storage system and reporting regulations.

Key Customer Benefits
  • Planning process acceleration
  • Directory unification (the use of unified indicator names in various plans)
  • Database storage of historical data with the same level of detail as that for current data
  • Report preparation from both current and historical data
