CROC's Competence Center was built in early 2003. Nowadays, there are six Solution Centers established jointly with global IT vendors, four Innovation Centers dedicated to certain classes of solutions, and more than 10 technology labs.
Labs showcase the most effective infrastructure solutions and newest IT market trends. The Competence Center is where CROC experts develop, test, optimize and support solutions based on products by foreign and domestic vendors, and open source solutions.
The Competence Center provides customers with optimized and justified solutions which are customized for a particular industry, organization and specific tasks. CROC experts can reproduce a particular organization's software and hardware infrastructure in order to model its optimization and development scenarios, thus enabling customers to minimize the cost of deploying computing facilities and building their own pilot zones for new technology testing.
In March 2009, CROC opened EMC Solution Center, the first center of its kind in Russia and CIS. The center is designed to effectively help customers model their own IT infrastructure and test it in business-specific scenarios, thus avoiding the extra cost associated with selecting and implementing necessary products. In 2012, CROC opened Russia's first Hewlett Packard Enterprise Solution Center devoted to Hewlett Packard Enterprise software technology that helps build a bridge between business and IT, and demonstrates various products used to automate IT unit activities, from monitoring business application performance to managing information lifecycle, data center infrastructure, and cloud services. Since 2012, CROC has been developing innovative virtual and augmented reality practices in its VR Center, with hardware and software suites deployed there being able to address today’s challenges in various business areas, including design, sales, training, art, and advertising. Polycom demo center was established with the participation of CROC and comprises six demo rooms to showcase immersive telepresence systems, video conferencing solutions for meeting rooms and personal systems, as well as Unified Communications (UC) systems integrated with the products of leading vendors. In addition, this center is used to demonstrate product suites designed for customers from various industries, including healthcare institutions, electric power plants, and production and manufacturing enterprises.
Opened in summer 2013, CROC's robotics solution center demonstrates solutions based on unmanned vehicles used for aerial photography, video surveillance, land surface sensing, terrain exploration, and air scanning via special-purpose sensors.
Information security center demonstrates products designed by leading international and Russian developers to offer protection from all current threats, including products for situation centers and defense against DDoS attacks, fraudulent activities, critical information leakage, spam, viruses, etc. Learn more
Intelligent Building Department's solution center is deployed across three of CROC's buildings. Two 11-level office buildings with respective floor spaces of 23,000 sq. m. and 15,500 sq. m. and a 9-level parking lot with 650-700 spaces are equipped with 11 groups of engineering systems integrated into a unified monitoring, management and dispatch control system. The buildings meet the highest security, energy efficiency and environmental protection standards. The following physical protection systems installed in these buildings can be demonstrated: a fire post; gas fire extinguishing system; security alarm system; security video surveillance system; access control and management system; vehicle plate and face recognition system; management system of locks and access card readers; and monitoring system operated by security service. Violin Memory solutions deployed in CROC's lab are based exclusively on flash memory and enable significant enhancement of IT system performance and operating efficiency while providing savings through the support of server consolidation and reducing the number of required DBMS licenses. CROC is the first company in Russia that offers Violin system pilot testing on a customer's site.
In this demo lab, customers can view and test the functionality of sound, video display, lighting, and interactive control systems before their on-site implementation.

This lab demonstrates solutions which help customers effectively manage their IT infrastructures and IT service delivery and support teams. HP, BMC, Omninet, Symantec and SevOne software products designed for Service Desk organization and operation management, IT monitoring, asset management and stocktaking of IT Infrastructure are demonstrated in the lab.
This lab demonstrates automation, security and service system equipment, including Rittal protected room, two uninterrupted power supplies (UPS), an energy saving trial zone, and other equipment used for the start-up and fine-tuning of solutions before implementation in a customer's facilities. CROC offers an opportunity to examine systems of the building's critical infrastructure facilities such as diesel gensets, dispatch control room, power distribution board room, supply-and-exhaust ventilation system, cooling and pump stations, air conditioning systems, central heating plant, etc.
Visitors can learn the advantages of open source products and test their features in the simulated infrastructure. A wide range of products, from office applications, document management systems and business analysis tools to large scale integration solutions and Big Data processing systems, are available for customers.

Our specialists describe the features of all software products which simplify, cheapen and accelerate all types of work at all lifecycle stages of a construction site, be it a residential or business building, bridge or any other sophisticated engineering structure or road. Solutions demonstrated in this lab help increase data transfer speed and app performance by up to 2-4 times, reduce traffic by 40-90%, ensure business continuity and network security, and cut ICT infrastructure maintenance costs. The lab is used to model, test and optimize solutions by various vendors such as Riverbed, F5 Networks, Palo Alto Networks, and Arbor Networks, and demonstrate their performance in a virtual environment.
This lab demonstrates solutions for audio and video information processing and analysis, speech synthesis and recognition systems, workforce management (WFM), automated outbound dialing, speech analysis, as well as CROC's own developments for contact center automation etc. These technology systems help increase the number of successful calls to customers by 30%, reduce waiting time by 33%, solve customer problems during initial call in 80% of cases, and reduce the number of agents by 20% without compromising service quality. Solutions demonstrated in the lab are based on products by leading Russian and global vendors such as Avaya, Nice, STC (Speech Technology Center), Zoom, Verint, Teleopti, and Naumen.
